Impressing, isn't it?

I still can't believe I learned to do it in just a few hours!!
A few days ago, I visited ExpoTarta in Madrid. To be honest, I was looking forward to meeting many people I know from the online worls, but I guess the organisers were really overwhelmed by the huge amount of people attending, and it turned out to be very oppressive. Long queues, overcrowded space and it was really hot.... I didn't even take any pictures of the event, so I'm forwarding you to my dearest friend's blog, who was more patient than me and fought hard for the pics, "La cocina de Inma".

However, it was worthy in the end because I was lucky enough to book a course about plastic chocolate with the amazing Paul Bradford!!
In case you haven't heard of him yet, Paul is a Scottish cake decorator, who creates the most wonderful things, and the best about him is that he has the talent to make simple and affordable the most fantastic and difficult creations...
The dummy was covered with a delicious chocolate ganache, which recipe will be given to you by Paul himself:
For the course we used ready-to-use plastic chocolate (Squires Kitchen) available in white, milk or dark chocolate. I chose the white one, and with it you would prefer to use a white ganache underneath, but we only had dark one available for the course. As you can see in the picture, the layers of chocolate are placed from the top downwards.

Work in progress...

But let me introduce you my friend Cris, who is very supportive and every Monday goes on a diet with me, but I keep sabotaging her with ideas like this. She is very talented and often creates yummy sweets, so I guess there is no hope for us... As her fabulous Argentinian boyfriend Fabi says: we eat so much because we have fat souls, nothing to do about it!
She chose dark chocolate and what she really loved were the chocolate roses!

And before I go, let me show you our super cakes!!

It was worthy, wasn't it??
Big kiss and happy baking!
Susana
